I am one of the few(?) users who use the search spy function.
When someone is doing a TTH-search, I see the TTH-string which is rather worthless.
Couldn't these searches be resolved to filenames (name of the file that the searching user has on his file), or filtered out?
I know that this is purely cosmetic, and maybe not worth the time coding. but....
Search spy and TTH

Well.
The search only includes the TTH, not the filename. All your client knows is the TTH. So to know the filename, it would have to automatically do it's own search for the TTH and then display one of the alternatives it gets in the Search Spy. Of course, when it does that search, another client would see the TTH and would have to search on it's own.. and so on, and so on. You see why that wouldn't be a good idea?
Filtered out, sure.

Re: Search spy and TTH
That does sort of defeat the purpose of TTH: identifying files by their content (TTH) rather than file name.Bubbles wrote:Couldn't these searches be resolved to filenames
