Is there are reason you can't clink on links in private messages?
I can't think of any. I really want it.

Then, by all means, put it in the tracker. :-D It's in the old one, but not bugzilla. At least as of this morning.

Well you really sold it gargoyle, I'm regged now.
But there is no section or options there to make it a feature, only as a bug so I typed feature in the summary.

Severity = enhancement.

This is one of those items which are a bug fix or a feature request depending on your perspective. :) Feel free to change it as appropriate.
