Fav User: IP(last seen on if offline) ?

Post by Timzone8 » 2004-07-18 02:02

Could an IP column be implemented in 403 or next release? Following a format like this:
AU (127.0.0.1)
This would be useful for operators trying to keep an eye on dialup users who continueously brake rules. Yes, a hub could do this but it's very difficult without permissions and with ban resets.

i have no idea what you talk about.
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

Yes and no. A map between nickname and IPs is not directly broadcasted in the dc-protocol. Its only supported for hubs that supports $UserIP. Most hubs only allow administrators to use $UserIP to lookup other users IP. So basicly no. ;))

Hmm, seems a shame. IPs seem to be a major factor in using DC...

Agreed. However, some quite vocally refuse to admit that, even to the point of creating a mod describing itself thusly:
The only difference right now is that we have removed the IP column both from the transfer window and search window.

Once again, DC++ modified. This adds various features to your plain vanilla DC++ and removes and fixes a few "bugs".
