Limit downloading to one hash
It would be useful to limit the autoadd source feature to the chosen hash for a download, as otherwise DC automatically adds corrupted sources resulting in broken downloads.

DC++ is in beta regardless - or that's how many interpret version numbers less than 1.0.derleaf wrote:Sorry, didn't realise there was an unstable beta, was just relying on the autoupdate, and only read the forum before posting. Feel free to delete this thread.
0.401 is old
0.403 is new, and thus "unstable"
Not much more to it than that.
There's one possibility has not been considered yet; I want to use autoadd source feature using exclusively the TTH root system when possible but NEVER by exact filename, otherwise I am not able to use this awesome feature without problems.DC++ 0.403 changelog wrote:

I am the operator of a HUB where we share a lot of bootlegs and many times we have exact filenames but that are in fact different songs - The same song played in different dates. So I would like to search by TTH when possible BUT avoid the autosearch by filename in any case... is this possible? If not, this is my little request.
Sure, ban all clients that don't support hashes =) But you realise that the filename/exact filesize way is the one that has been used in every version up until 0.402? Unless you've had big problems with it in the past, it shouldn't be a problem now, and the files you're describing shouldn't have the exact same size, afaik.
I have never used the autoadd sources because I tested it and I had problems. As far as I know the algorithm used by automatic searches is the same as the one used in "Search for alternates" option.
When I use "Search for alternates" it's not strange that I get wrong files in the results - I selects the sources that I really want to add manually by checking the folder name, in my case, checking the concert date.
So in my case, it would be very useful if the autoadd sources would be limited only to TTH matches, ignoring filename system .
This is also true in VOB files that are shared in the HUB; exact filename AND size but they can belong to different DVDs - and in fact, they DO!.
