To my knowledge, there is no program to convert this over.

Well, that would be why I couldn't do it. No big deal, I'll just finish them out on the old DC, and start new ones on this. =)

Thanks for the reply.

File > import queue from NMDC. Easy as pie. I've never used it though, so I can't personally vouch for it.

Works for NMDC 1.x, but it will not work for NMDC 2.x, the queue file changed in 2.20(?)

Intentionally perhaps? Maybe someone with time on their hands could write a patch so the new queue can be converted... ;)

Would it be worth the effort?

Oops. Guess I get an A for effort, though.

It'd be nice, as would an importer for DC:Pro. If those pieces of software have functions to import DC++ queues, turnabout is fair play.

If I'm not mistaken NMDC 2.20 saves those files in your "My Documents" folder, which usually is at C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents.

Edit:
NMDC weekly build Monday, January 19, 2004 wrote:The client now logs all of its output to 'Documents and Settings'\'Your UserID'\Applciation Data\Neo-Modus.com\Direct Connect.stdout.txt and Direct Connect.stderr.txt. If you have a problem that you report to us, please include these files - especially if it is an assertion error.
(i guess the settings are saved around there too)

Is it plain text? If so, perhaps you could post a fragment here.

If it's not plain text, then: :shock:

This is what it looks like (looks like plain text with some kinda controlcodes in the beginning).

Code: Select all

It's a bit strange formatted here in the thread but if you can get the idea.........

Got it again....from this thread......

What email service?, you mean what ISP?, comhem, Swedish one, now a separate company but before owned by the (in)famous swedish governmentally based TELIA.

If you don't mean ISP. I have Outlook Express with an standard POP3 account, works like charm. No problem whatsoever. My guess is that the account is not the problem. It's something with the forum. Anobody else seen/experienced this?

I note that it's only this thread. The other threads I've participated in seems ok.....strange

Regards

hi there :D

I noticed that its possible to transfere the queue from dc to dc++, by doin it manually (cut and paste) only thing that I dont get right is the date... since dc dont seem to have that :D

its a bit of hard work, but doable, if you have a really big queue it will take some time, and dc++ must be closed during it (or at least be shut down before the items shows in queue)

a queued item from dc looks like this:
[BBB]mickisthelady 0|0|4345103|D:\Mina dokument\Direct Connect Downloads\Downloading\Madonna - Love Makes The World Go Round.mp3|musik\album\madonna\Madonna - Love Makes The World Go Round.mp3|[BBB]mickisthelady|

when pasting it in dc++ queue it would be like this:
<Download Target="D:\Mina dokument\Direct Connect Downloads\Downloading\Madonna - Love Makes The World Go Round.mp3" Size="4345103" Priority="3" TempTarget="" Added="1083704530">
<Source Nick="[BBB]mickisthelady" Path="musik\album\madonna\Madonna - Love Makes The World Go Round.mp3" Utf8="0"/>
</Download>

note: to find the queuefile from dc you need to use show hidden files
