Auto-away message

Post by maniak » 2003-01-06 17:25

The auto-away feature is good thing.
It would be great to also have possibility to define custom message. Some people seem to take offense from the default one... "I might reply if you're lucky" doesn't sound too friendly.

I think this feature would be easy to implement.

it sux, having to type /away custom-message everytime, because when you type /back it goes back to the default msg...

Sorry about my previous post, I didnt't read the original question too good (bad things happen if you're tracking a bug in a program for half hour only to find it was a stupid typo and then use the forum as the anger outlet). :P

That's exactly what I want... IMHO quite simple but definitely nice thing.

My solution

Post by NutCase59 » 2003-01-26 23:39

My solution to this problem was to hexedit the DCPlusPlus.exe file and change the string provided to something I liked better. So far it's worked out okay. Of course I have to do it each time they mod the program, but I can live with that for now until it's implemented as part of the program.
