I am a user of SmartButler and contacted them to see what it would take for them to make the program work with DC++ they were kind enough to make me a exe file I replace with the current one. And now the computer speak what is said in channels and private chat windows.
However it only worked on an older version and now that there is a new version I keep getting the upgrade box poping up but if I upgrade this SmartButler code will no longer be in the EXE file.
So here is the code they sent me can we incoperate it into the current and new version? That would be GREAT!

method that always works:
- get a compiler (vs.net 2002 or 2003 are the most convenient for dc++)
- diff your source against the stock source of that version
- patch the new dc++ source
method that might work:
- talk to someone who has compiled dc++ before or who is into programming in general
- be really sweet and ask him/her to do the above steps for you
method that won't work:
- wait for arne to implement it in dc++
