A option that enables so that files without TTH is allowed
Many people are still using non-DC++ based clients or using very old DC++,
so to be able to download from these people we need to be able to download files without TTH,
like add an option in advanced to enable files without TTH.

Besides the well known benefits of hashing in general, removing the possibility to download non-TTH files simplified the implementation significantly, which means less bugs and higher runtime efficiency. That's something everybody wants, I assume. The proposed option invalidates that advantage.
I have no problem with mods reimplementing non-TTH downloads. They are well known for their hardly tested and buggy functionality anyway, so that's probably where such functionality belongs in.

I really have no problem with that 0.696 doesn't allow files with no TTH
when it comes to finding and downloding popular files, but when I want something rare,
I need to be able to search everyone and download from everyone.
Also, a user which has files with no TTH may also be the only one with free slots that has the files I want.

Since pre 307 clients cannot DL from you (Removed support for generating NMDC-style file lists) it's naturall to go step futher and remove support for nonTTH files as well (all supported clients that can dl from you are also TTH generating ones).
When You want to play some game online You usually have to patch it to latest version, or You won't connect to game server/network. And rather nobody complains, they just patch and play! They don't have to patch and can play on 1.0 but they will have to find/create they own server and stay there.
So I cannot understand why so much people stupidly defend users who like stone era. Why, oh why DC network has to be different?
(unless patch is buggy, most of the game servers won't upgrade then)

Most users are ignorant of the benefits of these new features and only see the extra computer resources required to run them. It's only right for the longterm benefit of the DC community that the DC dev should not let these users get their own way
