unregged users can't download

Post by cyberal » 2003-06-26 05:12

Hi!
Will DCH++ have an option to disable downloading for unregged users?

Isn't it correct that the hub itself initiates all downloads between the users? Or is it just the passive users?

I would like this option so you can keep a regged hub open, ppl can come in and search.. but they can't download anything. If they try they could get a message like "Unregged users can't download in this hub"

Is this possible at all?

Using the Restrictions plugin, you can restrict any of the following (Including CTM and RCTM) by userlevel:

<!-- minlevel for normal chat -->
<!-- minlevel for private messages -->
<!-- minlevel for private messages to operators -->

<!-- minlevel for active connection attempts, note that if you have rights but are passive, someone without rights cannot Ctm in reply to your RevCtm -->
<!-- minlevel for passive connection attempts -->
<!-- minlevel for active searches (includes multisearch) -->
<!-- minlevel for passive searches (includes multisearch) -->
<!-- minlevel for sending passive search results (it would be stupid to mess with this) -->

I should take that as a YES, right?

The ability to start downloads fall under the "connection atempt" category I presume.

Great :)

Sorry, should have been more clear:

Yes.
