HubRules Problem

Post by Quattro » 2006-02-10 14:31

I noticed that the DC++ minversion check doesn't work. even though it is set to 0.401 people still get kicked for using a old client like 0.22 or something like that, i've seen this behaviour in 2 separate hubs on 2 different computers.
dunno about the rest :S
You can send a message around the world in 1/7 of a second; yet it may take several years to move a simple idea through a 1/4 inch of human skull.

I have no experience with the plugin, but if you set a minimum version to 0.401, wouldn't you expect people with 0.22 to get kicked?

I have got the same problem with the HubRules plugin.
Solved it with a script, but its not the best solution.

And why is not a hub-script a perfect solution to the problem?
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

A quote from the DCHpp's readme.txt;
DCH++ uses compiled C++ plugins to maximize performance (scripts are dreadfully slow and
memory-consuming).

That doesn't mean that it is a worse solution actually. You have to compare the two to see. ;))

It is possible for scripts to be faster than plugins. ;))

if the plugin doesn't act at all to those clients the script indeed willbe faster :P
