Post by hokuszpapi » 2005-01-13 16:36

Since this is an svn repository, you can't download this by a simple web-browser, so we can't give you any direct-link for that.

If you're using Windows:

Download and install TortoiseSVN if you don't have an SVN tool already. That will integrate itself into your Windows Explorer context menu. Then make a folder where you would like to download DCHpp.

Then simpyi right-click somewhere, select "Checkout...". A dialog will appear.

"URL of repository" should be svn://dchpp.digitalbrains.com/p2p/dchpp/core/dchpp-1.0 for the dchpp-core, then simply click OK. Then this will download the core.

After you're ready with downloading, you need to repeat the previous step to get all the plugins. See the structure of svn repository and Checkout.. all of them one by one (svn://dchpp.digitalbrains.com/p2p/dchpp/plugins/BigBrother, svn://dchpp.digitalbrains.com/p2p/dchpp/plugins/BlockLeechers, etc..).

After this, copy the plugins into dchpp-1.0/plugins folder, open the project with visual studio .net 2003 and build it.

Well neither is the DC++ dev hub, that was hosted on the same domain, so I guess that is why :)

Is there any other way to download the current, or older snapshots, of the DCH++ source?

Not unless someone provides them (illegally, I think, according to the license).

DCH++ is only provided in source form. Distribution of binaries is explicitly against the license it is provided under.

If you are looking for a piece of hub software under linux, you need to look elsewhere, as DCH++ isn't available right now (due to whatever woes have taken down Sedulus' machine).

Your problem is the same one as the previous posters to the thread. We could not do anything then, and we still cannot. Read the thread.

I could link to a relatively fresh revision, if I knew it was legal to do so.

If you have a fresh revision (as I do not), you can read the license for yourself. Unless it gives you rights to redistribute it (as the GPL does), you can't do it without violating arne's copyright.

Arne can we temporarily destribute the dch++ source, until it gets back online, or can someone else destribute it... (I wouldn't mind setting up a svn/cvs server for it, or hosting it on my homepage)

I can host the sources as well. Maybe I can make an Ubuntu Breezy package later on.

It is hub software, so your second question isn't relevant.
