Command queue problems?

Post by FleetCmd » 2005-01-10 06:54

I tried to kick abuot 30-40 users at one time with the same kick-message (by selecting them and right click > kick user(s))..

But I noticed an interesting thing at the end of the kicks, my kick-message disappeared and got some GetInfo request instead of that:

[12:01:02] <[OP]FleetCommand> [OP]FleetCommand is kicking [HUN]Kolibri because: $GetINFO [HUN]HL2Fan [HUN]Milsanore

I tried to talk to the user, he (since he's a dummy :) ) can't say any useful, but it seems that he's got the message properly yet.

After this, of course, I've been disconnected by the hub.

Similar to this:

[12:45:33] <[OP]_FiFi> [OP]_FiFi is kicking [HUN]szekerke because: 100 Mb feletti vob fileokat ne ossz meg a hubon (dvd-t imageként oszthatsz meg), köszi
[12:45:34] <[OP]_FiFi> [OP]_FiFi is kicking [HUN]Szilard because: 100 Mb feletti vob fileokat ne ossz meg a hubon (dv$SR [HUN]Laller My Music\Vegyes\Michael Jackson-you rock my world( best).mp35429248 0/5TTH:A2KMUPYLFXW3PAEDOK3OJTFJBFR2OY2XIXJYMWI (195.228.156.120:4242)[HUN]Bendeguz1234

Now I've enabled debug in OpComExtra, and get many messages like this. So it seems that somehow the commands are jumbled. Notice $MyINF$GetINFo or $Sup$ConnectToMe.

Another experiences:

I can't exit the hub using Ctrl+C. It totally stops responding after that.

And it's using a lot of cpu. I started the hub about 11 am, before it run on verlhub:

It's a dual xeon 2.4 configuration hosting about 4000 users in this very moment.

yeah, I never really finished the nmdc version, I'll make a few more updates to it fixing those nasties perhaps, but in general, it's time to move to adc imho...which means the adc version should get more attention =)

Hi,

We tested dch++ again (this was shortly before the forum awaked :) ).

I have new experiences:

Now it used quite low CPU for some reason. That was nice.

The command-mixing bug took much time to appear, but unfortunately it still does and I'm very sad about it, since this way Verli is the only hub to choose on Linux, but I love this DCH++ in general.. just i wish this bug went away :)

Do you (or anyone else) is going to make any fix for this, or I should give it up?

Dont know if this is of any help at all,
but i've experience those messages too.
Found out it was a missing pipe ( | ) at the end of a string in my script
that cause this behavior.

using 1.0 release version
You can send a message around the world in 1/7 of a second; yet it may take several years to move a simple idea through a 1/4 inch of human skull.
