well, arne was considering using a different license than the GPL. one that would let rich people pay. I don't know if it will be open source; but since it has a plugin system, most features you want can be done with binary plugins.

3°/ Will it have the nice registered users only feature ?

can be done with plugins, or by setting regular users minshare to some extreme value. but they are both hacks. I'll request this to be natively supported.

4°/ Is it coming soon ?

yes, when all the bugs have been removed and some features have been added. we're at 0.18 now, I'm guessing it will be released around 0.22 (from the top of my head, but I'm not arne, nor do I know his exact plans, so don't hate me if I'm wrong =) )
