Doesn't fully support TTH - Old Version
Since DC++ can no longer download from old versions, due to them not fully supporting TTH, isn't it time VeryOldVersion (which exists in old clients) was used in the Version.xml ?
I know the feeling
But I find this something of a administrative problem. As long as users don't see/understand/accept the benefits of TTH they won't upgrade. And I must admit (I'll probably be flamed/banned/kicked/andAnyOtherThingThatFeelsRough, for saying this) that old versions aren't necessarily bad versions (Yes, I know, I know, but hear me out).
1. Before TTH it was easier to find a bit more obscure material (No, not that donkey porn stuff)
2. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I find later clients ( > 0.674 ) a bit heavier on the GUI thread. With newer clients there is a saturation resulting in unusable GUI that I haven't seen before when, for example, autoconnecting to heavy used hubs.
But, and a big butt..., I know about the benefits ( and the security issues ) so...
(I guess that wasn't the answer you expected but I felt for writing my opinion)

Yes, I must ask the same question. Has something revealed itself that made it obsolete?Todi wrote:The feature already exists. It's been used before. How could using it again make anything any worse legally?
