rmDC++ special faking client version

Post by lolin » 2004-03-31 06:03

[sorry for the english  ]
DC++ should not be released under GNU/GPL license.
Courageous statement? Yea it is.
But pleaz LOOK AT THIS  http://czpro.no-ip.com/index.php
or this  http://czpro.no-ip.com/board/
Please read at least the ENGLISH TEXT -> it speaks for itself.
(English text is written by the autor of this rmDC++)

It was (not only IMHO) the best hub at all...
But this isnt that important. You say - BLAAH its only ONE hub....
But today is it CZPRO tomorrow it may be the rest !
The only solution I SEE is, it should be compiled with some part of source code, where will be NOTfakable identification of the original client... AND THIS PART OF CODE WILL NEVER BE RELEASED TO PUBLIC
This way, the OPS on their hubs may decide, if they will let acces to other than unoficial clients....

PLEASE THINK OF IT, or we may live up to one day, where DC++ will be dead because of this FUC*ERS joined up with BSA and other MOTHER*UCKIN fu*kers....

ITS not regret ITS WARNING.
I really hope that Jacek SIEKA (or someone who makes the ORIGINAL DC++) will do this. 100% UNFAKEABLE determination of the original client - this can be reached only if that part of source code will NOT be available to public.

Okay. Bit late for a warning about a piece of software that's been open source since its inception two and a half years ago, wouldn't you agree?

(I've participated in my share of threads as to why this won't work, so I'll let someone else do that if they feel like it. Otherwise, lolin, just search the forum a bit.)

Blah blah blah... i and others can fake with any client you give me. If its opensource or not doesn't matter.

when-will-people-understand-this-ly'ers.
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.
