Error 87: "Invalid parameter"

Post by KRunch » 2004-03-21 16:10

When I am starting RC I get message box with title: "87" and text "Invalid parameter". What does this error code exacly mean??

I am emulating DC++ on linux, and developers of emulator said that I have to get explanation of this error code, and they will find out which libraries do that and will fix emulator, so it will run correctly :)

Thx for answer :)

Are you using Reverse Connect? Or are you using DC++?

Revers Connect, but one guy on mailing list said, that I'd better write here on DC++ forum, so I write here :) I thought that table od error codes hasn't changed, RC developer may only add some posibly errors, but didn't change that one from DC++ :) Am I wrong?? :)

This is not an error caused by DC++ (unless you can prove otherwise).

You realize that Reverse Connect's multisource downloading does cause corruption in your downloads?

There are guides to getting oDC, at least, running on WINE. (WINE Is Not an Emulator.)

One such thread is here: getting DC++/oDC to work in wine.

I have never had corrupted files since I am using RC :) (and I am downloading a lot) When I was using DC:PRO it was common problem, but now I don't have problems:) ( I know that my friend had some corrupted files, but it is very small percent, so he don't care about it, because he download 700 MB in 3 to 4 hours)

Some time ago I was using DC++, but transfer was much slower, than I have now...

Interesting. Well, I'm relying on OrangeSlice's tests in this thread.
