Ragnarok Build 6 !!!!

Post by Sid » 2003-02-01 04:24

Ragnarok Build 6 is here!

This new build is much faster and much more reliable than previous builds. Build 6 Also Supports Bz Lists bypassing Max Slots on DC++ users as well as client detection telling you exactly what client the user is using. Here is a complet rundown of the updates.

Version 1.0 Beta Build 6
-Bug Fix: Some Large and Complex DCLists Take Forever to Process (Much Faster Now!)
-Bug Fix: Fixed Key. Ragnarok does not produce an invalid key anymore fixing the tempban issue! (Thanks TasMan)
-Bug Fix: Improved Skip User with individual scan
-Bug Fix: Miscellaneous Bug Fixs
-New: Added refresh list and refresh user buttons
-New: MLDonkey detection added although MLDonkey doesnt work!
-New: Small list size detection added (not always Fake Share)
-New: bz2 List Support to bypass dc++ MaxedOut
-New: ProgressBar now shows ToolTip percentage on mouse over. (high tech feature)
-Bug: Sometimes NMDC Doesn't Send MaxedOut command
-Bug: Sometimes MaxSlots is not handled correctly (possible client problem very rare "share = 0 bytes")

Crash

Post by Sid » 2003-02-03 01:56

what do you mean it crashes on ops with 0 byte share? like bots with 0 or actual users with zero. and what client are the ops using with zero share.

For example, when it scans an OP(s) who are using DC++ 0.23/0.22 and sharing 0, it will crash.

Also, noticed that for whatever odd reason, it doesnt add up the share amount correctly for another OP who is sharing 628.81GB. It says the calculated size is something like 98GB.

third, it is identifying BCDC++ as DC++k....are they really the same?

Besides from that, I plan on using this tool in the future!

A 628 Gb share ? *ponders* What does DC++ say when you download the list ? (it has a calculated total too) Same as Ragnarok, or does it indeed compute to 628.81 Gb ?
It's not impossible to have 600+ Gb of Share, but maybe Ragnarok isn't wrong after all =)

Yes his share IS legit. when I get his filelist, DC++ says the same thing as, 628gb. Yes it IS rare to have such a large share, but we have 2 users over 500GB and about 13 in the 100-500GB range. Once in a while, we get a 1+ TB share (legit of course).

So did I, but I found the .dll in a file from http://www.cs.utah.edu/~gk/teem/download/ Just placed libbz2.lib and libbz2.dll from teem-1.5beta1-win32-comp\teem-1.5beta1-win32-comp\lib into the same dir as RAGNORAK and it worked.

Heh, compleatly forgot about that.

BSOD2600 what hub are u scanning i cant seem to recreate the errors. I would like to scan the hub users that are giving you errors. Also the ragnarok calculated share size basicly addds up all the file sizes in the list so there realy isnt that much room to make an error unless its in my rounding but i dought that would accout for +- 500 gigs.

Bug?

Post by dieselmachine » 2003-02-07 08:17

Seems that ragnarok is reporting dc++ .181 as dc++k for some reason. This is a problem, since a lot of hubs are very vehement in their hatred for dc++k. A lot of innocent .181 users could be in trouble. ;-]

Connection Time-Out

Post by PenDraggon » 2003-02-08 01:21

I don't know why, but when I'm scanning the hub, I ever have Connection Time-Out for each User (too when my firewall is Off)

Connection Timeouts

Post by bozo » 2003-02-09 23:02

I also get Connection Timeouts when scanning my hub which is on another machine on my network here. If I scan on anohter hub where I op it works fine. It won't work internally though. Any ideas? All my machines are NATTED and I give the NAT addy when connecting.

Lost of time outs

Post by Sid » 2003-02-10 04:31

People are reporting alot of time outs when scaning there hubs.

This is because Ragnarok WILL NOT WORK in pasive mode.

You need to open up your router for TCP and UDP on the port you set for ragnarok. Also you need to enter your EXTERNAL ip address in the textbox next to the port textbox. This will solve the timeouts you are getting.

:?: I dont understand why Ragnarok should be registered as an Operator. It seems working fine too when it's registered as an usual user.

Right, you only need to make the bot an OP if your going to use its kick function. Otherwise, it can scan just fine as a normal user.

That's because an op and registered user log in the same way, while a unregistered user has a different log on sequence.

Build 7

Post by Sid » 2003-02-14 17:23

well build 7 is now available on the site http://www.1stleg.com for download. It address a few bugs and i did include the bz2 dll this time =). As far as the registering Ragnarok as an op... you dont need to unless you want to use the disconnect feature. Yes i am a very lazy op =)

Any problems let me know

Hy!
I've tried the new built 7 of Ragnarok on my hub.
When running the Auto Search, the bot find many DC++ hacked version (14/42), and when I scan manually, many of these are detected as official NMDC or DC++.
But my DC++ (0.231) is detected as a BCDC++. The appz is installed on the computer who is running the hub.
And when I try the built 6, all users have regular client version.
But now I'm happy, ragnarok built 7 never crashes :)

well

Post by Sid » 2003-02-15 21:28

its to that point. I have got the newest version of bcdc++ and cant detect it. it is exactly like DC++ accept it has upload and download limiting.... i can detect it ONLY IF the client is limiting uploads and downloads... else its going to detect dc++. One other thing does anyone know what some clients say H:0? if they are in a hub shouldint it be atleast H:1 i was detecting this as bcdc++ clients but i dont think its just limited to bcdc++

dc++ hack client

Post by Sid » 2003-02-15 21:31

The dc++ hack client that ragnarok detects is when the client sends a normal DC lock, does not send a bzlist supported cmd and is not listening for udp connections. if a firewall is blocking dc client port on udp the nmdc client will be detected as DC++ Hack. This shouldnt effect scaning unless slots are full. Check the debug window to make sure im right

Sid DC++ doesn't report hubs your an OP in so if I'm only in one hub and an OP there it shows H:0

Ragnarok problems

Post by dieselmachine » 2003-04-01 11:55

When i try to connect to a hub with ragnarok (build 7) it connects, and then almost immediately disconnects. it manages to get the names of the ops before it disconnects, and that's it. i dont have enough time to scan anyone, it just disconnects.

Any idea what's causing this? Nothing shows up in the debug window... Just the standard hub greeting message. I don't know if this matters, but of the 8 ops, 4 are using dc++ .24 (with the x/y/x hub connection format), 2 (including me) are using opera DC 5.1, one is using dc++ .232, and one is a bot with a zero share.

Is the 'new' styled DC++ description tags messing with ragnarok?

This is Ragnarok, a Direct Connect (P2P) filesharing tool. Not Ragnarok, the Japanese RPG. Thanks for your interest, however!
