Use it! It probably works great for you!
Yeah why don't you write back to us after you have tried it!
We would love to take part of your experience with the client in question!

Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

Well then you just go right on ahead and install it. I'll just wait for the feedbackivulfusbar wrote:We would love to take part of your experience with the client in question!
And it's not a client, it's an add-on. Clients don't need a fully functional version of DC++ sitting on the computer to work.
I want your slot.

Yup. But I don't feel like getting kicked out of several hubs I actually like, hence I resorted to the community's experience (or lack thereof) on the subject. Since it's an add-on for the official DC++, I'm hardly going "Hey look at my hastily made and bug riddled DC++ clone"!It was you who was interested in it..
But jeesh, sorry I asked!
No idea on the source, I just bumped into the thing on the Cnet downloads site. Your guess is as good as mine.
I want your slot.

A while ago someone submitted a DC++ Installer with some form of malware in it, to download.com (I'm hazy on all the details - I'm sure someone else knows) so I don't give these people much credit for anything.SubversiveAgent wrote:though the Cnet people have a fair amount of credit in my book blocking that sort of stuff.
Yeah well that pretty much sums it up...TheParanoidOne wrote:A while ago someone submitted a DC++ Installer with some form of malware in it, to download.com (I'm hazy on all the details - I'm sure someone else knows) so I don't give these people much credit for anything.SubversiveAgent wrote:though the Cnet people have a fair amount of credit in my book blocking that sort of stuff.

They refused to remove derived versions of DC++ that were missing the source when I last contacted them. They did remove versions with spyware that the Kapersky antivirus program detected, but not the others.SubversiveAgent wrote:I see what you're getting at, though the Cnet people have a fair amount of credit in my book blocking that sort of stuff.
Don't trust them too far.
And the last version of "FasterDownloads" that I saw was just a string replacement of "DC++".
