newbie on linux fedora 3

i have the fedora core 3 kernel 2.6.12.I downloaded file the DCPlusPlus-0.6811-src.rpm but i don't what i do that i can use DC++ on fedora core 3.Probubly,i can compile this file ,but i don't how.
Plz help me

The source code we support only has a GUI for Windows. I suspect that the RPM you're referring to belongs to the Linux DC++ project.

my mistake. it's not .rpm than DCPlusPlus-0.6811-src.zip. this file i finded on site the dcplusplus.sourceforge.net.on this site there's .exe file for windows and the this for linux.

Well, that's just a zip file of the Windows-specific source code. You can in theory compile the client library under Linux, but it's not going to do you much good. You should use Valknut or LinuxDC++

Now you go and read whatever instructions that followed with Valknut. Then you go to the Valknut forum if you have questions.

my file walknut is .rpm ,there's not instruction.simply walknut installed.

Valknut is not DC++. It is a separate program, and they have their own forum: http://dcgui.berlios.de/forum/

There's also a Linux DC++ program, again, not affiliated with DC++: http://linuxdcpp.berlios.de/
