My downloads are running when they're not..?!

Post by gothtec » 2005-11-18 18:09

On some popular files, where I get >100 sources, DC++ gets messed up when it's trying to connect to someone, fails, tries again with all the 100 sources and that stuff...

What happens is that after a while of trying to connect to all these users, and me manually disconnecting some slow sources, the download is listed in the download queue as "Running..." even though it's not.

This results in DC++ not attempting to connect to another user, not finding more sources and generally not doing anything at all until I restart it.

Why does this happen and, more importantly, what can I do about it?

What is the version you are using?

Which means you are using some obscure mod and you really should ask for support on their forum... Besides you won't find much help here, as almost everyone here hates Segmented Downloads...

Hm.. You're right. I've been messing around with so many versions of DC++ that I don't know what I'm running anymore.

Anyway, I can surely say I'm not using segmented crap.

So are you telling me this problem I have is a BCDC++ issue? I didn't think BCDC++ changed any of the code related to connecting to peers...

Btw, I've tried to find the BCDC++ forums, without luck.

There is no forum, and there is no support for BCDC.
