Can anyone help me how can i type in cyrillic in DC++? I use winXP pro english, and i have no problem with the other installed programs. When i switch to (in DC settings) to cyrillic font support, after restart of DC "western" is back.
when i type in cyrillic appears only that: ??????? ?????

They should, if your machine is set to cyrillic. If it's set to something else, unicode text typed in the chat box will be converted to your current locale, probably resulting in a bunch of question marks.Todi wrote:Newer DC++ versions probably have better support for this
ivo2296, this is why ADC is important - everything there is defined as UTF-8, so you will be able to chat in whatever language you want, without any assumptions about the language settings of all of the other users in chat.
I found the problem:
The official code table given to microsoft for WinXP (Bulgarian Latin) is wrong, the base of that is that in bulgaria some companies related to microsoft-bulgaria are selling buggy cyrillizators programs as third party products. So i found one programer who has made Bulgarian Phonetic code table and now on all dc++ clients i have tested cyrillic works perfect.
The are 2 versions English winXP and German one.
