Search DC alternative

Is there a possibility to share files and not to install software on the system?
Because I have access to a fast computert net, but I cannot install software. It is a Unix System and I have only an account on it.
Perhaps some web based tool

There's no practical way to do it: you need a DC client installed on the machine you want to download from the DC network on.

(it's not impossible, but it's difficult and beyond the scope of this board)

SInce it is a unix system (solaris, hp-ux, aix), you need a precompiled client for that system.
