POSSUMMOD & SID
Hi everyone ,
It's my first time to post a message here in the forum and i'm actually doing so to inquire about what is called the " possummod & sid " .. i honestly have no clue to what that might be , i cant even pronounce it right. Anyway, my question is this, could the " possummod & sid " be the one of the reasons behind failure in downloading a file list from a user, knowing that it's a particular user that i'm having this problem with and whose file list was, easily, downloaded once before but now whenever i try his/her name just dissappears from the download box. Really sorry to have made a big deal out of this and thanks for your taking the time to read this.

Final on PossumMod
For what it's worth i thought i'd post this so as to finalize matters on the possummod issue since i was the one who started it. It turns out that with the help of possummod (( a modified version of DC++ )) you can actually deny a user a filelist download. The latest version of possummod has a feature that can help control abusive downloading of users' filelists in some hubs and aside from that it's also supposed to encourage the partial filelist download feature which requests and downloads only part of the user's list.
What happens is when you download the filelist of a user running possummod, with the " limit full filelist download to one user per day " option enabled in his / her clitent's setting, your name is added to a list of users for which access to the full filelist is denied. Users on block are removed from the list every 24 hours.
That pretty much covers it. Cheers everyone.

Interesting, thanks for the update, Molly.Molly wrote:The latest version of possummod has a feature that can help control abusive downloading of users' filelists in some hubs and aside from that it's also supposed to encourage the partial filelist download feature which requests and downloads only part of the user's list.
It seems like a nice topic for another thread.
