Http tunneling & DC++

Post by Assistant » 2004-06-16 15:13

Hy! I'm behind a firewall and I want to use a http tunneling program. I try many programs but I don't know how to configure them. Please help me to configure one of that programs: SocksChain or Socks2Http or any other program. I manage to connect with Hopster but it have a lot of restrictions.

What is the confusion? IP, port, username and password. That's it.

The programs need a proxy adres to redirect traffic. I tried some free proxy but stiil i can't connect. I set dc++ to use socks 5 for connect at 127.0.0.1 an port 1080. The http tunneling program listen for trafic at redirect trought http to an external proxy witch connect me to the desire hub. At least that is what I think is happening and if I make a mistake please corect me. I don't know what is wrong in setings of the H-T programs, maybe the proxy adres, but I try a lot and is the same result.

127.0.0.1 is a reserved IP address. It always points to the local computer. You need to use the address provided by the proxy service.

Is correc. The same setings are are made for hopster too and I think for other programs.
Unfortunately http-tunnel is no longer free. If someone use one of the folowing programs: SocksChain, Socks2Http, Bypass proxy client, please help me to configure one of them. I'm in a network and I don't use a proxy for Internet acces, only a gateway with firewall. Thanks!
