Hi there.
I was browsing through sourceforge pages and by chance dropped to
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dcpro
This seems to be a very new project (created on Feb 19) about DC clone. There is also a very early alpha version available for download.
There is also a screenshot at the homepage.
What do you think of it? I thought it was a mIRC clone.

just took a look at it...
look cool but
it is a DC++ rip (the icons give it away)
it needs ALOT of work done...
it doesn't do passive yet...
and only the basic functions work
all the others
a) don't exist
b) don't work
some sorting works others don't.
what i do like
infotip for users i wish dc++ would do that...
multi-color great idea
i want to see where it goes from here...

It was stated that the program was *** PREVIEW *** only
I think the program is *** PREVIEW *** only. This means that it is not fully implemented yet.
Also the icons are the ones from nmdc, not DC++.
The author (I contacted him by email) has started working on this project recently so you cant expect heaven.
I have a more advanced version of the program and most of the missing features you mentioned have been implemented.
The problem you mentioned about the sort was fixed already in the version I have (since yesterday). The sort has to be case insensitive, thats all.
I think its still a huge effort to write a DC client from scratch, you should try it yourself and see what you can come up in few days of work .
