Connection Timeout - LUA Error: attempt to call a nil value

Post by BlackDuck » 2004-05-10 03:47

I keep getting this response when trying to connect, I've just downloaded the new version of DC++ and I'm sure I haven't configured it right. I just don't know what the problem is!
Thanks.

DC++ does not have LUA support. You are not using DC++. You are using a mod.

What exactly are you using and what version?

LUA Error: attempt to call a nil value

Post by BlackDuck » 2004-05-10 07:53

It's BCDC++, and the version that I'm trying to run is 0.401
Forgive my lack of knowledge; what is an LUA and a 'mod'?
What could I have changed in the change from an old version to a new version?

Moving to Other Tools ...

LUA as far as I know is a scripting language and is used for client side scripting in BCDC++.

A "mod" is a modified client. ie. a vanilla DC++ base with changes made to it.

As to the other question, I have abolutely no idea as I do not use it.
