Yes and no. A map between nickname and IPs is not directly broadcasted in the dc-protocol. Its only supported for hubs that supports $UserIP. Most hubs only allow administrators to use $UserIP to lookup other users IP. So basicly no. ;))

If there is no user-interface you can always edit the DCPlusPlus.xml file bu hand. Opening it in notepad or any other editor and search for "<Directory>" and you will see howto, there is an example higher up in this thread...

Very old news, this issue has been raised a long time ago.. Its not interesting since you can't send usercommands on login. So you can't use it to cheat in any hub where they have scripted rules.

DCC is built ontop on CTCP part of IRC. And no corresponding CTCP extension does exists in DC. So basicly, this will make its way into the rejected features.

Sure, such things looks nice et.c. But currently no developer spends any time on gui-features. There are some clones out there who do some more advanced GUI-development, but they almost never contribute any code back to the dc++ core-project.

so I'm guessing his script is blocking filelists by watching for mylist.bz2 transfers when it should also look for the mylist.xml ones? No. Hubsofts has no information about what happens on the client<-->client side. They will never have any control of it. They have no control of what you download....

DC++ listens and handles incomming connection regardless if connection traffic has been sent through the hub so your script is useless among the few people who know what they do.

This has nothing with DC++ todo atleast, but yes i have myself had client-side bots with kick/ban-voting running. It did not function very well.. Simpler to have report system and more vips/ops who can kick/ban.

There are simple 3d-party apps that can do this for you. Move files around. If you for example download stuff that follows the scene-rules, you can use a simple app as TkSFV. Several others ofcourse exists.

nmdch1.* is somewhat outdated as a hubsoftware. It doesn't have any spam-protection to speak of. Example of such scripts were Freja/Athena. You can probably google your way to other scripts aswell.
