If he has this tool (per-slot transfer limits) available and chooses to use it, it's his choice and you should respect it, even if you wouldn't act similarly. I may have to deal with it, but I don't have to respect it. Imagine, my friend, if there was an upload speed limiter that was set to max upl...

Yes, you are very right. I would hate to have it bleeding into the system...but it would also be a pain to go into your settings between downloads. See, some folders you may want to auto-sort, and one right after you may not... I see your concern. But it would be very easy and is a good featur...

Autosorting finished downloads by filetype
It would be useful to have the option to sort mp3's, avi's, etc into a folder of their own for easier access.
It would also be helpful if other criteria could be used, such as file name or size (or any other search criteria).

Look, I'm not one of those people that will download 400 mp3's back to back, but I sure as hell don't want some kind of session limiter that's going to give my slot to someone else on a 56k. It's not fair. Period. If you're worried about people downloading for days, what about these slow connections...

You are assuming that you get a slot. What if you don't get it? Then I respect that and wait...or get it from someone else. I would hate to see dc++ become some kind of socialist b.s. where everyone has to have equal access to a slot, whether it's taken or not. only check if the user is over the se...

This feature doesn't appeal to me...at all. Take a 600mb movie on a 3 slot uploader, for example. Just say that it takes 4 hours for me to download 100 mb. If I get in on the queue early and secure a slot for myself, I should be done in 1 day. If three other people were getting that same movie at th...

On second thought, cologic: Quote: veteran like Gargoyle This isn't a metaphor, and thus should be: Quote: veteran such as Gargoyle Neither are metaphors. Both are similes. So why are you trying to correct me? Are you saying that, in that particular situation, I should have used a metaphor instead o...

Ha
cologic, I must say, I overlooked my simile solecism. I apologize for my metaphoric barbarism. Although I hate to quibble over such insignificant details, I will stand by my usage of quote as a noun. www.Dictionary.com agrees: Usage Note: People have been using the noun quote as a truncation ...

I'm with Renegade on this one. Sure, there Z's in his posts, but who cares? It's a style, not a lack of intellegence. What gets me is that a veteran like Gargoyle would continue a dead thread with an insult. Sure, it's true that presentation means something. But the quote was pretty harsh, and I thi...

Sorry, but your way is not necessary. It is easy enough to go to your download queue and right-click the file you want to resume and click search for alternates. when it finds some, left-click on the first one and hold shift and left-click on the last one to highlight all the files. Then, right-clic...

Assuming it was exactly those numbers all the time, then 10KB/s would be the average, and if the cutoff point were still 10%, you'd have to be downloading from me at under 100B/s to get cut off automatically. AND 10% of 3.5KB/s is only 35B/s. You're kidding yourself. These are 1% figures. There's a...

I'm not quite sure, but I find mine works when the queue window is open, but not when it's not.
If that doesnt work, put the window up top (although it shouldnt matter).
