Download Folder Excluded in Share
A topic in the help/support section inspired this request. It would be nice to be able to have a checkbox "Do not share DC++ Downloads folder" on the sharing tab in settings. 1. It's not a good idea to share incomplete downloads (it will get you kicked). 2. It's not a good idea to share unverified (...

If you have so much software design experience, why don't you go ahead and write up this feature yourself? Cause I'm fulltime busy in commerce as Chief of Department. I simply can't remember the last time that I was looking through filelists just browsing through some files...then a few hours/days later I realized that I wanted that file. Sourceforge Registered User List
Why doesn't anyone show up on the registered users list at the bottom of the forum screen? (click back twice).
It would be nice to know who else is here. It does state when someone is browsing a certain forum. ????
Does being a registered user mean that you can log in?

I think the problem is that you don't know what you're talking about. You don't know how to use dc++ efficiently. If you want to find a particular file, use the search. If you want to browse around and download files that you didn't know you wanted, use filelists. This will not give me all owners, b...

Searching from filelists have benefits. Personally, I used to save filelists of those people that have a great connection with me. So, if I am looking for a file it may be useful to search those users first. Now, I use the favorite user feature. Disadvantages of filelists: 1. Many times the filelist...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the extra slot is only granted until the file is finished. If you downloaded two files on one granted slot, then chances are one of the other slots freed up. I don't see why incorporating ICQ technology into DC would be helpful whatsoever. No need to have a feature with ...

1. If I understand you correctly, you want to send a small file without going through the trouble of granting a slot. Now I'm looking at the Settings in dc++, and I could swear that there used to be an option for automatically openning a slot for files below xxx kb. But, I can't find it. Anyway, tha...

I don't like popups. Notice is good, but popups stop you from doing anything in the background. Ok, one more idea: You can kind of do away with the reconnect/IE refresh icon. Instead, use the same type of arrows. Um, think of outlook express. Instead of using an envelope, use a list for the filelist and a plug for reconnect. Here is a good icon for reconnect (without the "refresh" arrows) http...
