from this thread: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4439 Regarding the matter of these 10/5 seconds search timeouts. I undestand the hubowners need it, search strings represent a large amount of the total bandwidth used. I would like a feature that make this thingy less irritat...

well, the main reason for this post i think was to lock hubs... and that popup won't be annoying.. it will only popup if you try to close a locked tab without unlocking it first.. I think the idea of having a chance to close the tab without having to unlock it is good.. it's just like the warning yo...

easier said than done, for one, i don't think the hubs report the share amount to the hublist server. 1. Hubsoft have to report share amount to hublist server! 2. Hublist server have to understand the info. 3. Client have to be changed to display share amount. I think I read about some hublist that ...

It would be handy if search for alternatives was shown in the DC++ tag as many hub owners may not want users to have this feature activated. naah, this matter is easily handled with a hubscript.. just don't allow searches more than every X minutes... no need to make a fakable tag out of it! I agree...

Your against traffic limiting is like saying that no ISP could possibly implement a spam filter, because it might block legitimate mail. But modern ISPs do have spam filters. The spam filter is there for You, not for them! And I'm certain that ISP conf their filters real careful not to block legit ...

Link? :) sure thing.. in swedish though.. you could still throttle down transfers that last over, say, 30 minutes, to a reasonable limit No! That traffic could potentially be legit, you could be loading the latest SP from MS or a linux release or what ever! They can't risk limiting legit traffic! T...

I know here, in the states, they do not have this mentality. Guess that it's hard to understand that not a single ISP would avoid limiting traffic on certain protocols. Here in sweden, the two main ISPs already have this installed! That is a HUGE assumption. It seems that those ISPs are making the ...

Cyberal decides that he wants to stop p2p sharing. So, he hires a whole staff to monitor activity. It has nothing to do with that really, what they want is to stop the big users from taking up the bandwidth.. it happens to be p2p-traffic yes. So, when Cyberal is able to sort through all of the porn...

1. Proof? Yes, they just told us in the newspapers. :) I don't use IRC for anything else than to talk, so I don't really care about it, but yes... encryption would be good there too! 2. Well yeah, you have a point there.. but we mustn't forget that it is the illegal big-scale filesharing they want g...

well, you are not entirely correct.. implementing encryption into dc++ doesn't make you "safe" and maybe not even "safer", but it helps on other levels... here in sweden most of the ISPs is now using apps like PacketLogic to analyze traffic and limit certain protocols.. like fasttrack and direct con...

drag & drop DC++ sections
SMEE AGAIN!!
I want the different "sections" in the DC++ interface to be movable, just like the toolbars in IE. One section for the button bar, one for window view, one for the transfers and one for the window tabs. Just drag 'n drop them where you want them.. huh? Wouldn't this be awesome!!!

When you're done verifying/moving, simply refresh. Ofcourse, I agree with you totally! I don't share my downloads folder, and not my finished downloads either.. always check my files before I share them. But it would be nice to get rid of the /refresh thingy! If I have to do it manually, the least ...

If you only gonna refresh once a day I see no reason to do it automaticly... b...
