You can probably use the old version of stlport to until arne releases a patched version if you edit the stdafx.cpp file a bit ( works for me anyway ) even though it's probably not the best solution.

I'm not sure that argument is correct, myself I can get higher speeds on a local netowkr using dc++ then using the build in filesharing in windows. And also, the filetransefers in dc++ is client<->client, the hub is not involved there.

The dc++ code isn't directly compileable(does this word exist?) under linux as it uses some os dependant functions and most of them isn't ported to anything what I know.

My guess would be that you're behind eight an firewall or router, probably the latter. To get the hub to work under this condtion you must forward the port you use fo the hub in the router to the computer running it, only tcp is neccesary for hubs I think.
