1) A hub only needs one port to be forwarded for each instance running.
2) Each hub needs its own port to operate on. Sure you've got ptokax setup to use seperate ports?

I'm sure its been asked before in some way...

But how about letting users select which files they want to be included for each search type. Either editing a xml file or having it somewhere in the GUI.

DC++ should automatically download it for you when the window is opened. It it does not, it may be down, in which case checkout the Alternative hublists? FAQ or your firewall might be blocking it.

Yea... although you coming back in 20 minutes after the searches are done will result in MANY sources now offline, slots full, etc.

Simple. Don't forward the DC server port on the router and no one from the outside will be able to connect. Alternatively, you can get a IP blocking script and only allow your LAN IP range.

You mean, the hubs don't like it when you search for 5 things, with 1 second gaps between? Why not use some self control and limit the time...

It wouldn't be too hard to put in a 5 second limit or something between searching, but not all hubsoftware has issues with this.

True, but DC++ CDM is pretty much an OP client and not indended for the normal DC++ user. That being said, often important messages are relayed via main chat (rules, kick messages, etc) that normal users should see.

If chat really bothers you, just leave DC++ minimized or do what ivulfusbar said.

port 1090 is not the standard port a DC hub runs on, 411 is. In order to run a hub behind a router, you need to forward traffic on 411 to your internal IP. Look around my FAQ for examples.
