A practical problem that will pop up is that dc++ can only use filenames and filesize to determine matches, so you could very well end up downloadinf loads of stuff you already have only with a different filename, encoding or bitrate to name a few... vonork : You haven't responded to this point yet...

I guess there would be no harm in attaching the patches to the appropriate request in the Feature Tracker. I'm not sure how often that is checked though. Unless one of the DC++ code contributers pops their heads in, the best bet would probably be to ask arne himself what the situation is. Also, I fo...

Probably not an entirely satisfactory answer there. The problem at the moment is the fact that the users column shows all the sources as one long field, rather than multiple entries.

DC++ doesn't send DNS addresses. It converts the address to an IP address before sending it to a hub.

The picture shows that you have the Dynamic DNS software, but it doesn't actually answer the question I asked. Namely "Is your dynamic address up to date?" You have a DNS address "superiornetwork.no-ip.info". This maps to an IP address. Your DNS address is a dynamic DNS address because you have a dynamic IP address, e.g. it changes each time you connect to the internet. The DNS name can only point to your *current* IP address if you keep the mapping up...
