Most likely because you have enabled "Automatically disconnect users who leave the hub". (It's a bug that it disconnect even when you're leaving the hub.)janebot wrote:If I close the hubs then all activity-uploads

Re: A few practical proposals
1. I would like to be able to ignore certain users. Getting too much spam on dc++ lately, both from individuals and from the hub bots and they don't appear just when I join but periodically. Already requested in the bugzilla. 2. Make the hubs stack on more than 2 rows... I'm on 20+ hubs at the same...

DC++ isn't customized to compile on VS 8... Anyway, you might find a patch that will fix your problem here.
I forgot to say... Have you converted the project files etc to VS 8? (Doesn't look like it from the error.)

Processing HI1 and then HI
Currently, DC++ will not add a user to the userlist if they send HI1 and then HI in ADC hubs. When I had completed the fix, I looked at it and felt I violated the DRY principle. So, I changed the code to (try to) not violate the DRY principle, but I believe it added complexity. Everything happens in...

They are different hashes. The first is SHA-1, one of most used hashing algortihms around. The second is from the Kazaa- and/or FastTrack network if I remember correctly. The last seem just to be the name of the file. :) 'Tree Tiger' is not explicitly for DC++. DC++ can handle ; tree:tiger: , bitpri...

Linux / Unix: I've made some rudimentary autoconf/automake scripts now, so you can compile the client part into a library without too much hassle (I don't check if it compiles very often though...). You'll need the latest versions of automake and autoconf, and after getting the source (from CVS is ...

Re: disable/restrict use of bandwidth limiters
How is it fair? There are many users on an assymetric network that need to use Netlimiter-ish programs.favian wrote:i think this is a fair and equitable request.
Your request isn't feasable. There are tons of programs that can limit network traffic and there's no way DC++ could ever be able to detect them all.

Re: Default minimum Slot settings
A better approach to the situation would be to improve the current interface. From your experience, what does users find difficult when it involvs changing slots?PuLsAr wrote:explaining to N00Bs how to open more slots is very difficult and time consuming.
