The format doesn't matter much but XML is nice enough. The content of the file is the interesting part. The point is that later versions of DC++ contain TTHroots as extra information. The increas in size is mostly due to this fact. You might also want to read the thread above which is partly connect...

Yes its true. You will use up the bandwidth in the hub within days if you have a high user-count. Running a hub with 2500 users will approximatly correspond to an upload of 1MiB/s. And if you do the math, that would make your 300GB of tranfers be used up within 4 days. If you have a hub with even mo...

All the ip-series i have been able to check the validity of are totaly bogus. Implementing it into DC++ sounds rather useless since firewalls already can accomplish what you want. The Connection-field is not validated in anyway in any standard format in DC. They are utterly useless. I don't think it will get into DC++ unless someonelse then arne codes it (i would be suprised if he spent time on it). It would be better to try to use the ipcolumn instead and try to derive the s...

And i will happily support such clients which does this, i.e. only add this simple feature. Security by obscurity is one of the stupidest thing you can create. To deside what other are allowed to have visible or not is also a very narrowed mind. There is use for the IP-column. After a while you will...
