Settings -> Advanced -> Automatically match queue... Note: In the DC++ mod fulDC you can limit the number of filelists to match against. The reason for matching your queue against filelists is to limit the number of searches. I.e, if one user has one of the files in your queue, it's not unlikely he ...

Yes you have to use a script.
If you're a beginner to running a DC hub, there are simpler hubsofts out there. Yhub for instance is one of the better ones for beginners.

DC++ as such is open source, but it does follow a licence called GPL. I have not read that cover to cover but as I understand it you cannot make another program form the source identifying itself as an already GPL registered program. GNU is a protection as much as a statement and guideline about op...

As I understand it, even if you have the source and know the way the ani-cheat works. Its still a big hassle to crack/hack/cheat the game/client. Perhaps. Depends on the programmer. No, DC++ can't do that. What you can do is open your filelist, right-click the file you want your friend to get, and then copy the magnet link (if you're using DC++ 0.4032 or later). Then just send that to him in mainchat and he can click on it to search for the file. Or just give him the TTH, even ...

DC++ is released under the GNU GPL license , which means it is Open Source. The Sourcecode can be freely downloaded from this website , without having to ask. Just remember that if you publically release your own client based on DC++ code (like oDC is) you are required to also provide the sourcecode...

Ok... let's use an example here, and see if that helps. One car dealer sells cars that have a built-in breathalyser that you have to pass before driving, which stops anyone who is drunk to drive them. One car dealer sells cars without the breathalyser, and people can use that car even when they're d...

I think cologic was talking more about why the client would want to provide hub owners with a way to ban it if it was against his self-interest. Regular, good users would probably want that. But you wouldn't want to ban them anyway... someone you want to keep out would probably not want to give you ...

The feature to automatically search for alternative sources (the exact same thing as when you righ-click and choose "Search for alternates" or "Search for TTH") has been in DC++ for many version. It's been broken in some versions, but works great in DC++ 0.4032. It searches for everything in your qu...
