When it comes to the magic number five, i must say i prefer 3 or 7. They have higher symbolic power than 5 in most religons.

Having users fill one more number will probably confuse them more then help them. (i hope no one will mention the DF i did in this context a couple of days earlier *blinks*).

I understand that you obtain the filelist from the alternate source (which was found via the hub, anyway). Another way is ofcourse to change things on the hubserver side, Do the hub support $UserIP, and if so, does it send you $UserIP. Then you could trigger on this in your checks for example.

Your screenshot doesn't show what you think it shows. It only shows two users with the same nickname downloading from you on two different hubs. You don't know that the users are the same.. you only assume it due the same nickname. ,))

This is a little bit dangerous if you don't know the exact size. You could possibly find a match of a file which is 20GB large, and with a fast connection your harddrive will soon be filled. So, you probably have to set a max size aswell. But you can more or less almost do this now, the only problem...

if we do some wild guessing, he means a ClientDetectionMode of DC++. The most common is devoloped by farcry. There are also others, but then again all of them are not availabel for the public (which in some cases contradrict GPL, but in others not depending on how it has been distributed.)
