Make sure the project file for taocrypt includes the right headers and source files. This looks suspiciously like what I experienced with BCDC and 2003. I had to update the project files to include the right files.

Did you set the project dependencies correctly, so the lua lib gets compiled and linked with client.lib? (Make sure to do this for both Release and Debug configurations.)

There are a lot of places things go wrong, so if you have more problems, try using WinDiff to compare the two source trees.

They're handled automatically. Use a language file that translates "Window" to something else. When you do that, the MDI child windows will no longer be added and removed from the menu. Thus the behavior of the "Window" menu is dependent upon its name and is handled at a much lower level than in DC+...
