maximum upload is 256kbps Click in the "Up limit" column in the row marked "Overall" (at the top of the GUI) . There you can set it to 210-230kbps. It might be better to just limit the upload speed of DC++, not the overall. Netlimiter works in kBYTES per second, not kBITs, so 256/8 = 32kBps. So may...

What is your maximum upload rate for your DSL? Set the max upload for DC++ to 90% of your overall max upload. See if that helps the download speed. If not, lower it until your download speed is solid.

http://opendchub.sourceforge.net/ is good. It's nothing like Ptokax however. No GUI. Scripting is in Visual Basic.

I noticed some weird changes to the TCP/IP stack after a machine was hit with one of the Blaster virus spinoffs. After Norton was done cleaning it, it would not connect to AIM, but it could browse the web fine. Reinstalling AIM did not work.
