Outgoing UDP traffic = searchresults in Active mode. It's your computer sending searchresults to other users, on the port specified in your DC++ Settings.. If you leave the Port setting blank, DC++ will use a random port.

Yes you have to use a script.

If you're a beginner to running a DC hub, there are simpler hubsofts out there. Yhub for instance is one of the better ones for beginners.

That's not good, since they would then be included when someone was filtering for a specific filetype, and it would be harder to sort for dctmp files. No, it's perfect like it is now.

DC++ as such is open source, but it does follow a licence called GPL. I have not read that cover to cover but as I understand it you cannot make another program form the source identifying itself as an already GPL registered program. As I understand it, even if you have the source and know the way the ani-cheat works. Its still a big hassle to crack/hack/cheat the game/client. Perhaps. Depends on the programmer. But the point is that there are no developers involved in DC++ that would have the time to constantly change the way ...

No, DC++ can't do that. What you can do is open your filelist, right-click the file you want your friend to get, and then copy the magnet link (if you're using DC++ 0.4032 or later). Then just send that to him in mainchat and he can click on it to search for the file. Or just give him the TTH, even ...

Sounds like a bit of bloating there dreamstream.

Find one good program for the job, then stick to it. That's usually better than running 2-3 programs that do the exact same thing. Oh don't bother getting PeerGuardian.. it's a piece of drokk.

DC++ is released under the GNU GPL license , which means it is Open Source. The Sourcecode can be freely downloaded from this website , without having to ask. Just remember that if you publically release your own client based on DC++ code (like oDC is) you are required to also provide the sourcecode...

Define "group". You can press the column header and get them sorted by exact filesize already. I doubt you'll get "12 users with the same filesize" on one line thing, if that's what you mean. But once it's added for TTH, it could probably be easily expanded.

I think cologic was talking more about why the client would want to provide hub owners with a way to ban it if it was against his self-interest. Regular, good users would probably want that. But you wouldn't want to ban them anyway... someone you want to keep out would probably not want to give you ...

Sounds increadibly messy. A better feature would be to be able to download to predetermined folders, so you wouldn't have to browse for them all the time. Several mods have this feature.

Please take a moment to read the changelog, everything you ask is explained there. And like i said, autosearch is broken in some versions, 0.403 for instance. Upgrade to 0.4032.
