IMO, this is not needed for 2 reasons: 1. The tab turns red when the hub is not connected. (No need to open all windows as stated.) 2. I want to leave the hub window open so any disconnected hubs try to reconnect. Hubs can disconnect somewhat frequently due to ISP problems, or if the hub gets restar...

I got a 9500, and softmodded it to a 9700...then OCed it to a 9700 pro.

It does sorta conflict with my MoBo (Giga 7vrx), but it runs all my games extremely well. I'd recommend it.

BTW, I have no artifacts. I guess I lucked out.

I read in the help sticky that you need to connect in order to get the new release going. How long do you need it and how much do they charge at the inet cafes?

P.S. Do you mind me asking why you need to hook up at an inet cafe? :)

NO-IP

Recently, I got a NO-IP account for my stubborn dynamic IP connection. It sparked an idea  . Why not have the hub perform like the no-ip.org servers do? In my simple yet optimistic mind, I see the hubs having a list like: jbyrd.dc++.com -> 69.201.51.89 *handle.dc++.com-> xx.xxx.xx.xx This coul...

Now that I have been thinking about it, I wonder if somehow I am hurting DC when I help those that use it.

The more people that use DC, the more likely it will be targeted. I think that the help given in the help forum may have a negative effect on the longevity of DC.

Just some thoughts.

You will simply have to use a different hub...one that uses a port other than the default one. Just look in the hublist. The number after the ":" is the port number.

I don't see another solution, unless I am missing something.
