Oh yeah. I forgot. I haven't used dc++ for 2 months, because I don't have broadband at the moment (I'll be back on in about a week)! Well, to me, that pic says "refresh me"! But, here's an idea: Use the same type of system that you have for queue, downloads, etc folder. You could have the IE refresh...

that the problem is that 15 minutes would be more faster and so there would be less wrong info when searching... I thought that you meant you want filelists that you've downloaded from others to be refreshed every 15 minutes. If so, you would have to communicate with that person every 15 minutes. D...

Patience seem to be a lost virtue these days. Well, you're exactly right. That is the case with me. I don't feel like waiting for someone to upload to me at 1k/s. If I didn't mind waiting, I would get kazaa or bearshare. Another note: What you're forgetting is that people will uncap only if they ar...

When you cap, you leave DC++ on. Yeah, but what if you're not using your computer? Are you still going to cap--or will you turn the capping off? I, personally, have not found that it significantly raises my ping for gaming, or that it sucks up cpu. But, that's just me. You know when my downloads do...

It can't be that difficult to append the filelist with some short speed statistics... Just download the filelist...check in the finished download folder and it will tell you the average speed of the download. What I thought you were saying was displaying the upload speed in the search window. By ha...

Hmmm. I don't have dc++ in front of me at the moment, but it would be interesting to see if it returns the largest results first (from a single user) if "at most" is used or vice versa. Anyway, it does raise a good point, but I have never had this problem. And I never have to search for alternates o...

Ok, so let's use common sense. For a small file: Use the "at most" feature and sort by size (from most to least). The exact size will be at the top. There will be a small number of files below the size of your file since it's small. For a large file: Use the "at least" feature and sort by size (from...

The program already keeps track of the current up/download, why can't it just display that for each user? You would want dc++ to send small transfers to each user and display it (If I understand you correctly). This, I believe, would sacrifice too much bandwidth to justify the benefit...and it woul...

In the way I suggested it tries to download the files one by one, in the order which mostly gives the fastest download Ugh. 1. Search the hub every 15 minutes or so for users with free slots who have queued files This would put an enormous strain on the hub. This type of frequent searching for a hub with 1000 people would be an additional 66 searches per minute than normal. That is why the current method only searches f...

Many of the ppl that set their UL speed too low just don't know better. They set it to be sure that their downloads are not slowed down. I don't think we need to worry at all about ppl that would abuse the code and make an evil mod. What we need to worry about, is stupid users that don't know what ...

I feel that it would be a vast improvement to the current system, in which the users with the most bandwidth to waste gets the slots (well, statistically) since no one has yet implemented a "anti-hammer option". I disagree. I personally do not like segmented .rar files. 1. There is much more of a chance that one will be corrupt when you're downloading 40 different files. 2. Many times the release is not an .iso or .bin. This is what I look for, but there is no way of telling what type of file is contained i...
