how is it not possible in dc++? Not possible. It can't be done. There's no option to do it. It isn't implemented. It's not in the code. I don't know how else to say that it can't be done in DC++. I'm not saying that it will never be done in DC++ or that it is technically impossible. Just that as of...

it would be an optional option.. like most of those download settings are now. ;p I got that ;) I meant it might be risky when it is turned on. could possibly make it so only does it IF there are some other people in the cue for the file. I guess so. But what if all the sources you have are below y...

Re: minimum download speed
i think it would be nice to have a feature that if one of my downloads goes below a certain amount (say 5kbps) then the program removes that user from my cue and starts downloading from another user. Might be risky. Any time you close a connection (and slot), you risk not being able to get another ...

Try clicking on the RIAA Wrath Hits Teen headline, as that's a link to the story!! Um, no. I am the one who posted the story and it doesn't mention anything about anyone killing themselves. I've read somewhere that a guy was presecuted and told to pay up his life savings for the rest of his life......

Now every dumbass should be able to get dc++ started!:D Oh dear. Is it too late to delete it all? Everyone forget what you read! :D One point missing i think: you didn't mention the slots. He created a site named ChewPlastic.com where students could search for files on the university network. Mind you, this is not a music file sharing software, this is just a ...

I tentatively reveal the current state of my DC++ Guide . As stated earlier, the only complete part is the Getting Started section. The others are either in production or not yet started. What I want to be sure about, is that other computers in my LAN will have access to my Win XP comp after switching to NTFS. Other comps use: Win 95 and Win ME. Over a LAN? Yes, as long as you set up the share properly and give appropriate permissions. On the same machine (dual boot)? No. Win 9x can...

How to make your own hub list?
Two threads on creating hublists. There wasn't even any searching involved. Just browsing the the Hubs and Scripts section. You might want to try that next time.
