You have to learn howto search. The protocol do not make it possible to limit number of searches. All that can be done is to limit displayed answers on the client-side, i.e. to throw away searches and not showing them in the UI. Ofcourse you can play with it.. but hey.. You have different kind of possibilites to set max number of commands within a timeperiod in yhub already. Play with the settings and let your mind be free. Again, protection around so called "broken" features in client/hubs must be dealt with on both sides. Fixing it in dc++ would not fix the issue...

The math formula we more or less use to estimate is, (Number of users/20)*(Number of users / 20) kbits. It was brought to our attention by verliba and works fairly well in estimating. The point is to realise that its O(N^2).

In fact DC++ will reconnect to hubs unless it recives "banned" while loggin in. Only then it will not reconnect no more.

since rar-releases uses very few chars in its names, its more likely that name-collisions occurs since they use standard filesizes aswell (stupidly chosen sizes aswell). Such collisions has occured (search the forum and you will see). So basicly it should be the other way around..
