In DC++ it is unlikely that it will make much difference, but certainly a higher download cap will mean the possibility is there :). For the other applications, in which your upload rate affects how fast you can download, there is a greater chance that switching to the new ISP and increasing your up...

Didn't find a setting for individual users but there was one in the general security section for Check sender IP on sear/ConnectToMe . Have unchecked ...

The only way to connect the houses together for a LAN is to have a local network device like the wireless router be the connection point. Otherwise they are all going to be connecting through the ISP's offsite hardware and speeds between two adjacent houses will be just as slow as if they were miles...

It's not your account that was suspended. SababaDC takes you to the authors website to show you advertisments as a requirement for using it. Of course the web hosting company keeps disabling his account because of all the traffic. Use something else.

That is the mac version of the original Direct Connect client. It does not have the DC++ style tag ( <++ V:0.694,M:A, etc > ). Look up shakespeer or valknut for an up to date Mac alternative.

.674a is a version of BCDC++, a mod of DC++ which is why your post was moved away from the DC++ support forum.

eMule has that too, the only problem is putting a script up on a server somewhere that's reliable enough so it doesn't give false negatives when not available and sturdy enough to not be a pain in the ass to protect from abuse. I tried it a few months ago but I don't have a host with socket librarie...

Either the Mac DC++ project (completely seperate from the DC++ project) hasn't released any binaries or they removed them. Don't remember. Just use Shakespeer or Valknut, they're both great.

You can use any IP range you want inside a LAN, 192.169 or any other ones. It's not the best idea, but it will work. I have several offices (that weren't installed by me) all running 200.200.x addresses locally.

i use sababaDC ,for some reason after opening the program it said "account suspended , contact support dept' a.s.a.p" ,and after trying to go their home page, it was blocked and i saw the same msg. i tried clearing my cookies, un-instaling and re instaling the program, but nothing works... It's not...

Sababadc is a clone of DC++, which means we have nothing to do with it. You know that connecting to hubs and uploading runs on random outgoing ports, right? I don't disagree with you, but it's probably a result of the NAT table in the router overflowing. Most routers just die when that happens.
