refusing d/ls is same as hub refusing connection just need the i.p. right now i run i.p. bans in my wall or in my opsys if its more serious so there is a way but its very cumbersome as the issue of the leech banning everyone two things come to mind right away 1) if i ban u from me i also ban me from...

totally agree with u!
a list name place holder in the favorite hubs feature
so u could make several lists
MP3
VIDEO
APPZ
PORN
whatever
and then in any favorite hub simply call the list
in non favorite hubs the same general list would apply
right now u have to run a clone of DC to share different lists

Hub Search Is a GREAT IDEA!
Its done in irc as well as in Tesla (Filetopia) Its fast as hell and alot more friendly Just add option to search criteria: 1) Search ENTIRE Network 2) Search ONLY Actice Hubs (You Are In) 3) Search THIS Hub It'd be even better if i could enable my list to options 2 and 3 and NOT to option 1. This b...

GOOD IDEAS!
Nice to see some THINKING going on! Those of us that are more concerned about serving issues appreciate good leech thinking as we understand u cant serve well unless u can leech well! :) lol I hope these get included! So many of the good ideas I've seen posted seem to be more doable if the P2P path ...

How would that work?
If crashing kills your favorites how would it not kill your "recents" ? It would have to written to a seperate file dynamically i guess. like alot of scripts do for some stuff, use a seperate file for each section of the script so it dont need to be restarted and so on. have it read once on startup ...

A simple client BAN or IGNORE
IT seems to me to add a ban of a user so they cant chat to u or get your list or d/l your files would be doable just on the client side as essentially it would be a filter only. Prolly wouldnt be too hard to have levels of ignore also like Ignore Chat and or Ignore Filesharing. You could even add a ...

True In fact if i was allowed to disable my list from being searched i would expect i would be barred from using search also. Thats only fair and i have no problems with that. Mostly I am given things by Friends anymore and its very rare i do searches and such, been years even. For me DCC send would...

I've said this before...
Make all the chat go P2P, To offload this function from the Hub. Allow users to chose there own colors and fonts, so they appear that way to others when chatting. This makes it very easy to track conversations when a hub gets busy with alot of cross talk once this P2P path is inplace its alot more e...

Napster ended this issue nicely
Really it did. They was found guilty of "enabling" so are we all! THANK GOD! We are all of us pirates... Nice pirates i admit but legally pirates anyway. its always the battle! if u remove "ownership" from the "owner" then they lose POWER so they get pissed off and put u in jail! well who does "own"...

I just added .22 here and seen that and like it. Your english isnt good! :) But mine is worser anyway so what! Compatability
I hate that argument! Sorry But I just do! Its holding back to much inovation and upgrades. If we was still compatable with dinosoaurs we would be running around killing each other... Macro Magic Work-a-Round
If u dont have macro magic u should get it. U can set it up to refresh your list as u want it to. Hub vs. P2P chat
Something I have never liked about DC is the way chat has to go thru the hubs then it posts it to all the connected clients. This seems really ancient tech to me and uselessly loads the server. How hard would it be to implement a client to client broadcast of chat? i mean once a client hooks up to a...

Nice to see an active forum again! I run TREEHOUSE and my client shares from the same machine. Tab Key Feature For Long Nics
In IRC and in Tesla they have a nice chat feature. If u type the 1st few characters of a nic then hit tab it autocompletes the rest of the nic for u. Of course it hits the 1st solution going down the list so maybe u hit tab again to get the 2nd but still its nice. also would be great if I could stri...

Dynamic Shares List
In Tesla (aka Filetopia) available at downloads.com they have a dynamic list type (they call it cmd) which "watches" your shared list and modifies it as u do locally. Any additions or subtractions or renames within shared list gets followed and will be in the list another user d/ls. It was intended ...
