It would be nice if there was a column in the search window that let you know if safe and compressed transfers is enabled on the machines that the search returns so you can utlilize...

Why do you have the hub window open anyway? Just minimize the hub windows, because there is nothing particularly useful once you connect and read the hub information.

Well, it's obvious that I don't fully understand the details of the protocol. :D

But, anyway, I would still like to have an option to choose how many alternate sources I want...instead of having some arbitrary preset that has no symbolic meaning whatsoever.

Yeah, but it seems that the client doesn't have the ability to efficiently search multiple filelists if they are compressed (.bz2 format). The easier, the better, though. :)

Sorry if I'm asking questions that have been addressed in the Ratings System thread, but I am still treading through it.

Another question, do you suppose that such a ratings system attracts unwanted people (**AA) because we are rewarding uploaders, on top of having hubs that have share limits?

So, how do you keep people from simply deleting their key, resorting back to zero points (which would be beneficial if all you do is leech anyway) and begin downloading again (much like Kazaa's rating system vulnerability).

Sorry, but I don't use e-mule...so I don't know exactly how it works.

The only problem is...


You should always check your downloads to make sure they are:
a) Legit
b) Not corrupt
c) Good Quality


If you just throw them in some directory, and then share that directory...you are likely to spread poor downloads and waste alot of bandwidth.

filelists should be downloaded to the filelist folder so I'm not sure what u meant by the folder thing.
