It's important that users be able to disable it if they see a bug (which admittedly is probably not the reason most people disable it). In some hub I participate they decided to ask everyone to untick it because it gave connection problems. (I asked about this in DCDev hub, being told it was known,...

Just a small reminder that bitrate does not show the quality of mp3 files.SwedenXP wrote:music quality (bitrate)
Of course a 192kbps file sounds better than 112kbps whatever the encoder, but you already can guess that from the file size, isn't it?
off-topic, please join hi-quality mp3 hubs.

the rehto way
ah, I thought that it worked the other way, you select 'video' and dc++ send searches for .avi .asf etc..
I believe there was a good reason for doing it the way it is, probably because sending multiple searches one for each extension was too much?

The problem is that old filelist is overwritten with the new one. I doubt this idea ever gets into dc++. But you can copy the old filelist, uncompress both and use some program to list differences. I particularly like Directory Toolkit to see differences, it can even recognize lines in different ord...

how to queue filelists automatically?
ok, I want to queue some filelists automatically. Does anybody know what to write in queue.xml so when dc++ opens it *knows* that it has to download them? I want this because I want to check what every user has every month (for example), but some users come and go and it's tricky to remember who was...

But to match your queue the filelist needs to be loaded. So this feature would only save you some mouse clicks.
I personally find very useful the 'open filelist' item in user list. Maybe it will help you too

checkmark inside filelists
I like having those little checkmarks in most windows:
In "Download queue", it toggles the tree on/off.
In a hub, it toggles the userlist on/off.
In Searches, it toggles the pannel on/off.
I'd like another checkmark in filelists to toggle the tree on/off.
Sounds reasonable, isn't it?

I'd like to see in that menu another option: open downloaded filelist, because in good hubs filelists take a while to download ;) Sidenote, how should this behave if you don't have a file list for the user? Should it not show the menu choice? Should it queue the file list? Something else? The easie...
