YHub

Hello, A friend of mine gave me a copy of a new hub software called YHub. I was wondering if any of you have used this. If so, mind telling me your impressions of it? Is it faster than Neo Modus' hub software? I was told that this hub software doesn't use any scripts at all. Is this true? If so, are...

Should be able to handle about 150 users. Lag, if any, should be minimal.

Paul, that's not what I meant. Userinfo shows some great information, but only the ip that they are presently using or the ip that is last known. Ipinfo will just show all the usernames attached to the one ip. I was hoping to get a script to show just the opposite of that. I'm looking for something ...

Yet another script request.

Sorry to be bugging all of you, yet again. But I would like to request one more script. I tried searching for it, but I didn't find what I was looking for (I'm sure I just missed it). Anyways, I'm looking for something I could run alongside or possibly edit into the General Bot to make it show not o...

Could someone dumb this down a bit?

This is concerning the new Neo Modus Client. I realize that it doesn't belong here (seeing as this is the ++ forum), but being a hub owner I need to understand this and I didn't know who else to ask. As note to ops, hub owners, and script authors, we've implemented multiple hub connections per clien...

I was wondering if any of you scripters out there could write me a script that would announce a vips entrance into the hub. No rush on this, just if you're interested and have some free time. :D

Status Bar? Do you mean the user slider in the hub software? It's the same as the value set in the General Bot. This really isn't a big deal I guess, since it can be fixed just by restarting the hub. I just thought this was weird and wanted to know if there was any way to fix it.

Odd problem with General Bot

This may have been covered already, so forgive me if it has. I noticed that after the hub has been running nonstop for so long the General Bot lowers the max users by at least 50 users. It still shows the correct values and using the admin command for changing the max users does change those values,...

This has gotten off topic from my post. :( I don't guess any of you know what's going on with my problem. Oh yes, ignoring bots or not doesn't have anything to do with whether or not you can see their description/connection. If it does, it wouldn't affect me anyway as I don't ignore my bots.

Another interesting thing I discovered in my op chat script. It also has a line of script to give the bot a description and a connection, but this time, only nmdc and older ++ clients can see it. What causes this? Here's that part of the op chat script in case it will help to clarify things. If Left...

I wasn't sure what to search for, as I'm sure this has been covered before, but I was wondering what line of script I could add to my bots, that show on the users list, to give them a description and a connection.

I don't see why slots or bandwidth would be an issue here. If you're downloading a file from multiple people, then you're only getting a small portion of the file from any one person. Which means you will have their slot for a shorter period of time than if you were downloading the whole file from t...

Problem with a script I tried to write.

First thing I should mention is that I'm a complete noob when it comes to writing scripts. With that said, I tried to write a small trigger bot script so that when users used our hub jump to go to another hub of our small network, it would be announced in main chat. The script editor accepts the scr...

A little off topic I think

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question. If not, please move it. Anyways, on to my question. A friend of mine was thinking about starting up a small hub and was asking me what all was needed. I told him what I knew about connection speeds and such, but he also asked me if his comp ...

I don't know if it falls into what you're looking for, but could you write me a kick info script? As I described in my latest post, I'm looking for a script that would tell Ops how many times an user has been kicked and possibly the reason given for each kick.

Kick Info

I was wondering if any of you out there had a script that would tell an Op how many times a certain user has been kicked, and possibly show the reasons given for each kick. I realize that there are admin scripts that already have this feature built in, but I'm quite comfortable with my current setup...

If you don't mind, would you see if you could modify this script. It's the watchbot script, a pretty common script that watches for users and files. I had to take the script down. It has major flaws in it. It was kicking people for having too many slots open. For instance, it kicked a user for being in 3 hubs and having 10 slots open. It seems that hub/slot ratio has to match to be allowed in. It also had a max hubs portion in the script. Which ...

A minor problem with a script I found

I came across a script on a website for hub/slot ratio. The script works great, but it doesn't pm the user, telling them what they were kicked for. Could one of you please take a look at this portion of the script, where I believe the problem lies. If the whole script is needed, please say so. If cI...

The script doesn't work. After running it, I went through and found a person over my limit and kicked them. Then I cleared their ip from the temp ban list and waited. The user was able to get back in, still over my limit. Thanks anyways guys, I really appreciate the effort.

Thank you! One more question, if you don't mind. I've read that the new versions update the number of hubs a user is connected to every so often. A few noob questions, sorry. The above script...is it just for .24+ clients? If so, how will it react to earlier versions? If it will just let them by, I would be able to run my pre-.24 max hubs script alongside it, correct?

I hate being a noob!
