can somebody describe a procedure on how to create a local lan dc hub?

I already downloaded and made a hub, but from DC++ it connected but said that I don`t meet version requirements (latest version) and from neo modus DC (same hub software) i just get disconnected. I made a hub by typing in my IP adress, and tried to connect from the same computer. Could...

That is all i ask. I tried to find an option in a DC++, but it seems I`m looking at a wrong place. What should I do?
